HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLING (HDD)


Calaf GmbH has directional drilling equipment that replaces the opening of trenches to prevent the closing of streets, digging up of footpaths, etc. This technology also allows the installation of pipes in both urban and interurban areas, ideal for crossing roads, highways, railways, rivers and any type of obstacle.

OPERATIONS

Ground Research


The Ground Research division was created with the intention of offering a comprehensive service in subsoil research, in order to plan, design and minimise the risks associated with the geology of the terrain, the digging itself, the existence of buried services and/or anthropogenic structures. Geophysical prospecting methods represent a highly effective tool for subsoil research. These are non-invasive techniques that allow location of underground services and the characterisation of the land.

TRENCHING DISC


The trenching disc, when attached to an excavator, digs trenches and micro-trenches with straight and stable walls and bottoms. Trenches and micro-trenches are used to install optic fibre, gas, electricity and water networks. This system is highly productive and lowers costs.

TRENCHING MACHINE

 

Calaf GmbH has a wide range of trenching machines, both pneumatic and with chains. This type of machine digs trenches with regular walls and bottoms. The resulting material can be accumulated on one side of the ditch for reuse to cover the ditch or by loading it directly onto a truck.
